This is a great way to start off the squash season, or if you've never played squash before, it is a great way to learn about the game, give it a try and find out where to play it!

Harrow is sponsoring the event too and a new racquet as well as a squash bag will be raffled to two of the attendees.

2011 Fisher Cup Draws

At the conclusion of the Winter NCS League season, the Fisher Cup Championship determines the top individual players among NCS members who have participated in each division (Premier and Divs. 2, 3, 4 and 5).  It’s a big tournament with prizes for winners and finalists.  Matches count for player ratings and are recorded in US SQUASH.  Best of all, there is NO COST TO PLAYERS!

In past Fisher Cups, play was by invitation from Team Captains who nominated their best two players.  This filtered out many good potential players and left it to the Tournament Director to chase them up when draws of 16 were not filled.  This year NCS will allow as many eligible League players as possible to apply, while reserving select spots in each draw for the highest two rated players who apply from each club.  If an [...Read More...]

2011 $12,000 PSA National Capital Open

February 8-13, 2011

AussieNick are following on from the success of the first five years of the National Capital Open and are thrilled to announce their hosting of the 2011  $12,000  PSA National Capital Open Squash Tournament. The Open will benefit the 501.3c urban youth program, SquashEmpower.  This PSA Challenger event ($10k+ prize money)  is coordinated with several other regional professional tournaments including the Richmond Super Series, allowing us again to attract some of the world's top squash players.  AussieNick are  looking for major and minor sponsors.  All profits will go directly to SquashEmpower! The Open will be held at the Bethesda Sport& Health Club concurrently with the US Squash-sanctioned WinterSun Amateur tournament for a festive (and noisy) weekend of squash.
